FOUNDER AND GENERAL OVERSEER
Reverend Eric Kofi Owusu was born in Asafo located in Kumasi, Ghana. He is the fourth child to Mr. and Mrs. Kwame Owusu. At the age of three, he became crippled and couldn’t walk. He began to crawl backwards and his parents were very concerned. With prayers and fasting he was able to stand and walk at the age of six. Not only did he begin to walk, but was walking backwards. The family continued to pray but still couldn’t comprehend why this was happening to him. However they didn’t give up and by the grace of God he was healed and walked like any other child. During his teenage years, he did carpentry and also played soccer, which was his best.

Prophet Owusu. began his ministry at Assemblies of God as an evangelist, usher, and singer. He shared the gospel in cities and towns throughout Ghana. He didn’t take it easy at first, because his mother wanted him to further his education. She didn’t like the idea of him becoming a man of God. He knew he wanted to do God’s work and felt it in his spirit that the Lord had a plan for him. Months later, he went on his own. Leaving his family behind, Prophet Owusu suffered great hardship all for the work of God. He slept in school class rooms, park benches, and even ate dry gari (African food). He didn’t give up he continued doing evangelism, speaking the word of God and healing the sick and downhearted. A few years later, the Lord led Prophet Owusu to heal his mother from a certain sickness. That was when the family began to understand why God called him to do his work. He has been a pastor for 20 years and immigrated to the United States in May 2004.

In January 2002, he attended and completed the International Gospel Outreach Leadership Training Regional Seminar held at S.B.T.C.P in London, England. He also graduated from Bible Training Centre for Pastors at Kumasi, Ghana March 2002. He officially received his certificate of license by the Import Ministerial International Network March 18, 2007.

Rev. Owusu is now the founder of Holy Fire Dynamic Word International Church (HFDWIC) with locations in Bronx, New York, Irvington, New Jersey, and Kumasi, Ghana. He has a heart to teach God’s people in simplicity and power. He has the gift of healing and speaks the oracles and the mind of God. His calling is to minister to the whole man; mind, spirit, and body with emphasis on salvation and the harvest of the church.
